This photograph was taken during the starting days of our motorcycle trip across India(46000+km in 500days). After visiting few beach in goa, we were heading towards the Gokarna but in a midway(south goa) we found a board saying Galgibagh beach. We had a lot of free time to see places around, so Bhishma started searching on … Continue reading Short Story from Goa,India

When, where, how, what and why? .
These five question can ruin any vacation plan. So I though about writing my answer to these question
The first one is is When.
When should I plan my travel? .
Normally it's good idea to travel during the season so you could enjoy the beautiful landscape to the fullest but on other hand most places are so much packed up with tourist during peak season that you might feel entire city you lived in has moved to your vacation spot.
.
If you can compromise with landscape view a little, I think you can enjoy and make the trip more memorable. During off season when not many tourist are around, you get to know the local people much better as now they can talk to you for hours and you can understand and know more about their life.
.
I don't remember all the mountains, waterfall I have seen on my travel but I do remember all the people I got the chance to talk to during my travel.
.
I do feel, if a local guy have not told you a crazy story or not introduced you his cultural thing or to something you haven't seen before, your trip might turn out to be a still photo same as looking at the wallpaper on laptop screen. But with few stories, it might be a video tape rolling again and again in back of your mind whenever you think about that place.
.
Another good reason which I guess a lot of people will agreed will be cheap travel during off season. Since traveling needs money and it's never enough saving for travel and other future plans. A 15 days motorcycle trip to Uttrakhand with all luxurious stay, food and drink cost us around 14-15k each including fuel stay and food while in season it will be at least 30k .
.
We went after monsoon season which turn out to be extended monsoon season and sometimes we had to ride in rain or wait for the clouds to get clear. But all the time we had to take brake for heavy rain in dhabas or extend our stay to get the mountains view, we got stories from local.
Some of them about wild bear , leapord and monkies are definitely not true but they bring smile on your face as soon as you remember the moment how locals were telling you those crazy stories or there village

We have been chasing the mountains while rain playing hide and seek with us all the time during this trip. Whenever we were ready with rain cover, it didn't rain and whenever we planned to go out riding without rain cover, it would definitely rain( I guess every rider would have similar experience once in his life) .
.
It's been 11 days since the Uttrakhand chapter of @bajajdominar #roofoftheworldodyssey started.
.
@sarath_shenoy and I, rode 2000+ KM through dense forest, small roads , off roads and trails but we always felt a little away from the snow covered mountains.
.
In our last stop at Kausani( referred as Switzerland of India by Gandhi Ji) we could see the 360km wide range of snow Mountain but they felt to be very far away.
.
Today after reaching munsiyari, the mountains have finally come close to us. Just from the hotel window we could see the million on stars with snow covered mountain as if they are just few km away now.
.
Sometimes, this view looks like a beautiful painting, hanging over our room window.

We came back from Niti village and took a stop at Nandprayag because the last 50 km of road was really tiring( construction is going on to make badrinath road a double lane highway) .
.
I had to finish some work( customer care omobikes :D), before we could leave but @sarath_shenoy was in mood to chill . We did not have any plan confirmed till 10 O clock but 10:30 we decided to move to next destination which is Kausani.
.
Last 4 days, we had been riding mostly in rain and around border area and our drone was in sleep mode. Somewhere on highway to kausani we found a great view and decided to capture the road.
.
It was perfect start with smooth take off by drone. But it seems our stupid drone was in mood of long sleep. It was recording and suddenly disappeared. Last image we found was some tree leaves.
.
There was a big mountain on another side of river. It was clearly visible that no one can climb that mountain and there are thousand tree so we were not sure which tree it was on. Even it was possible to climb somehow but it was impossible to cross the river.
.
We looked for it for 3-4 hours but the stupid drone did not return home. We lost the drone and decided to move further.
.
Crossing through jungles we reached kausani at 8:30pm but luckily found a cheap homestay with Amazon view of snow covered mountain.
.
Decided to take a brake and dry up our cloths when we found our few more items are missing. .
Let's see how many items will be left by the end of uttrakhand trip 😁
